- UNIT Quality Initiatives Specialist

Position Overview:
Full-time position providing Quality Initiative development and support at a healthcare finance consulting company based in Austin, Texas. We are in search of a dexterous candidate with strong communication, organizational, and healthcare quality improvement experience. The Quality Initiatives Specialist will support Contracted Managed Care Organizations (“MCO’s”), Member Providers (inclusive of System and Hospital level providers), and UNIT (including affiliates and subsidiaries) on the design, implementation and maintenance of initiatives and programs intended to support satisfactory performance or achievement necessary with respect to the requirements of MCO Incentive Programs, furthering program goals and assisting in UNIT's continued ability to assist in successful program goal advancement and execution. The role will work with a variety of stakeholders, including Providers, MCOs, vendors, and UNIT Leadership, to understand and execute the needs of programs supported. This position requires flexibility, initiative, and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
- Assist stakeholders in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to improve patient safety, clinical outcomes, organizational efficiency, and to further ATLIS Program goals.
- Gather all necessary information and data elements from applicable hospitals to analyze performance data to track metrics, identify trends, and report on quality initiative barriers and potential mitigation actions.
- Assist UNIT Provider team in promoting MCO Health Information Exchange (“HIE”) connectivity initiatives and hospital education and engagement on ATLIS requirements and related milestones and deadlines.
- Coordinate with Provider and MCO contacts to identify opportunities and barriers to implementing Quality Initiatives to streamline workflows, improve connectivity, and implement actions to further improve the HHSC defined metrics and in alignment with the ATLIS Program milestones.
- Assist in additional supported programs as identified to further quality goals.
- Build relationships and network with key stakeholders.
- Provide training, feedback, and technical support to ensure client satisfaction with regard to quality initiative implementation.
- Demonstrate how solutions can improve learning outcomes, increase efficiency, and further quality initiatives in support of HHSC defined metrics and milestones.
Requirements
Required Experience and Skills
- Relevant work experience in a professional office environment, specifically within the Hospital Quality space.
- Excellence in time management; attention to detail, and the ability to learn quickly.
- Able to exercise a high degree of initiative, discretion and quickly adjust to changing priorities.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to exercise strict confidentiality in all matters.
- Committed to being a team player.
- Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience using Zoom, Teams, Canva and Concur highly preferred.
- Advantageous if have previous experience in program development, network development, or similar.
- Must be able and willing to travel as needed.
- Office hours are approximately 9AM-5PM CT.
