Job Description Summary:
PayPal is committed to delivering the best experience for our global developers. Our team designs experiences, testing and tooling capabilities critical for our developers to build and go-live with PayPal's payment integrations across all segments. The Developer Ecosystem team is part of the Core Product & Engineering organization, and responsible for PayPal's end-to-end developer experiences - including developer onboarding, integration, and servicing experiences within small, medium, and large enterprises.

We are looking for a Lead Technical Product Manager, who will help us build a world-class platform to service PayPal's developers. Our developer platform is home to our developer experiences, technical docs, integrations with third party tools to make integrations via PayPal easy. The platform has analytics and search capabilities that provide a robust experience to service our developers. Our developers make use of the Sandbox, API Executor and Demo environments via the platform to complete their integrations.

In this role, you will own the platform capabilities to enable end-to-end developer experiences. You will define and execute the roadmap to ensure the platform capabilities meet the needs of developer across segments, regions, and size of business. You will be the thought leader launching platform capabilities for our developers globally.

This job requires no travel.
Job Description:
In partnership with the Developer Engineering team, you will be responsible for developing, prioritizing, communicating, and executing on a roadmap of infrastructure features that provide the central building blocks for developer products and services at PayPal. You will be responsible for:
  • Crafting our platform strategy to make sure we are delivering developer infrastructure products that are fast, efficient, and dependable
  • Helping to prioritize and execute on the full scope of the roadmap
  • Supporting effective communication and alignment across a complex cross-functional set of customers and partners
  • Improving pace of feature development and product innovation for developers in partnership with product, infrastructure, SDKs and API (and more) teams
  • Delivering forward looking platform features to make platform self-service
  • Defining key metrics and measure the performance of the product features
  • Articulating product differentiation and value to internal and external stakeholders
  • Understanding the developers, market segments, and the competition

Job Requirements:
  • You have experience building and shipping infrastructure updates for platforms
  • You have the technical acumen about advanced engineering tools to help drive solutions for infrastructure product decisions
  • You can speak the language of various technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • You embody strong emotional intelligence and have deep-seated empathy for engineering teams and customers
  • You lead comfortably through influence rather than authority in a cross-functional environment
  • You are a team player and mentor members in their career journey
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and fast-paced environments, along with an ability to adapt as needed
  • You are excellent structured-thinker and clear communicator, both in person and in writing

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Experience managing large scale infrastructure products in cross-functional environments
  • 10+ years of Product Management experience
  • Fluency in English
