Description
Position Overview
We are seeking an entrepreneurial Transactional Attorney with at least two years of relevant experience to join our Dallas or Austin office.
This position offers the opportunity to work directly with clients and fellow attorneys on a variety of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, business formations and restructurings, commercial contracts, and general corporate matters. The ideal candidate is resourceful, detail-oriented, and confidently capable of managing multiple matters while delivering exceptional client service.
Attorneys are given significant responsibility and hands-on experience, with opportunities to take an active role in transactions from inception through closing.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements
- Assist with mergers, acquisitions, asset purchases, and other business transactions
- Advise clients on corporate governance and general business matters
- Conduct legal due diligence, generally assist with deal flow and prepare transaction-related documents
- Communicate directly with clients, counterparties, and opposing counsel
- Manage multiple projects and transaction timelines efficiently
- Collaborate closely with attorneys and staff across the firm
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active Texas law license and good standing with the State Bar of Texas
- Minimum of two years of experience in transactional, corporate, or business law environment
- Excellent legal drafting, analytical, and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work resourcefully on both an independent basis and within a deal team
