You will create content for audiences spanning differences of ideology, region, and sector, from Hollywood to philanthropy to faith communities.
At a moment of rapid growth, this role will play a critical part in advancing our mission and impact by driving external awareness, inspiration, and understanding of our programs, outcomes, and ideas. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker and exceptional writer with a commitment to bridging divides and countering polarization. You can expect to work directly with senior leaders and recognized experts to shape public perceptions, inspire action, and help pull our society back from the brink of escalation and high conflict.
What You’ll Do
In this writing-centered role, you will collaborate closely with senior leadership as well as program and development teams, providing both strategic leadership and day-to-day execution to craft engaging content for writing projects across the organization. Your work will include:

- Collect, capture, and package stories, data, and insights to inform, inspire, and empower the public and key target audiences. This includes collaboration with RTT staff, alumni, and external partners to source content, test framing, and refine messaging.
- Translate RTT’s ideas, programs, and field insights into accessible, resonant narratives, adapting and tailoring content for a wide range of audiences, platforms, and use cases while ensuring content aligns with RTT’s mission and voice.
- Develop op-eds, blog posts, prepared remarks, and other thought leadership pieces, both ghostwritten and under your own byline.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to discern what storytelling forms and mediums most effectively advance RTT’s mission and goals, position RTT for expanded impact, and invite engagement.
Institutional Writing & Development Content (40%)
- Contribute to writing and editing grant proposals, reports, and other materials that support RTT’s fundraising efforts.
- Partner with development and program staff to gather information and stories and shape clear, persuasive narratives that align with funder priorities while maintaining clarity and consistency.
Program Materials & Editorial Support (20%)
- Write and/or edit program materials, including facilitation guides, participant packets, resources, and presentations.
- Support internal teams in strengthening their writing through guidance, examples, and editorial feedback.
- Channel and help codify RTT’s voice, tone, and messaging across materials.
What You Bring

- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into readable, inspiring content and support both strategy and execution
- Ability to channel and synthesize the thinking of others, capturing nuance, intent, and voice with precision
- Experience working collaboratively with senior leaders, program staff, and/or subject matter experts to develop content
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple writing projects and deadlines while pivoting as needed in response to changing external events and organizational needs
- Growth mindset and enthusiasm for giving and receiving feedback up, down, and sideways
What Sets You Apart:
