- Part-Time Health or Rehabilitation Psychologist
Description
We have openings for 2 to 3 part-time independent contractors to join our telepsychology group practice! We are seeking Clinical or Counseling Psychologists licensed to practice in Washington DC. Ideally the clinician will also possess licensure in Virginia and/or Maryland and have PSYPACT or be PSYPACT eligible. Early career psychologists are encouraged to apply!
This is an exciting opportunity to enjoy the benefits, independence and flexibility of private practice without the administrative and financial burden that come with launching and sustaining a practice. The role is ideal for a psychologist who is seeking flexible and supplemental part-time work (a gradual build with the aim of reaching 12 to 15 average weekly sessions). Our practice is in-network with Aetna in Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia for individual psychotherapy. There is potential to also accept CareFirst BCBS in DC for individual psychotherapy. We facilitate the credentialing process to minimize the administrative burden on the clinician.
We utilize a service to verify and process out-of-network (OON) benefits so that clients who don’t possess the above insurance plans can more easily access services. Our practice is passionate about offering integrative, high-quality care that is accessible without sacrificing the financial wellbeing of clinicians.
Compensation is paid as a 1099. The fee split is competitive (contractors keep the majority of their earnings). We have certain grandfathered rates with insurance that benefit our clinicians and also offer an Incentive Award Program that pays bonuses to qualifying clinicians. Given our dedication to professional development and specialty in behavioral medicine, rehabilitation psychology and medical trauma, there is also opportunity to get reimbursement for CEs within the above specialties.
Marketing and advertising is done on your behalf. There are no regular meetings, however, it is important that psychologists do not feel as though they are practicing in isolation. We thus have a “virtual open door” policy if interested in peer consultation or struggling with a clinical or administrative question. In addition to being able to treat general mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety and adjustment difficulties, the ideal candidate will have a specialty in behavioral medicine (e.g., sleep, pain, women’s health [infertility, postpartum, endometriosis, PCOS, breast/ovarian cancer, infertility], weight related concerns, GI difficulties, autoimmune conditions, medical trauma) and/or rehabilitation psychology (e.g., TBI/ABI, SCI/D, MS, cancer, adjustment to physical disability). Experience with any of the below therapies is a wonderful bonus, but not a requirement:
- EMDR
- IFS
- Somatic psychotherapy
- MBSR
- Pain reprocessing therapy
- Gut directed hypnotherapy
- CBT for insomnia (CBT-I)
- CBT/ACT for chronic pain
- Cognitive remediation for brain injury
We look forward to connecting with you!
