Overnight ED Position, 8 Nights On, 20 Days Off!
The Department of Radiology at NYU Langone Health is looking for candidates to join our section of 34 dedicated ED imagers in an overnight position working 8 nights on, 20 days off. This job is ideal for a general ED radiologist who wants a fantastic schedule working for a world class medical center. Our ED imagers work remotely and we invite candidates from anywhere in the US.
NYU has the most efficient tech stack in the industry with outstanding IT support. We are one of the test sites for Visage with the latest builds of the #1 PACS on the market, PS360, auto-populated templates including ultrasound measurements, full EPIC/EMR integration, etc… A communicator widget built into PACS allows you to consult with fellowship trained neuro/body ED rads on challenging cases and access the 24/7 reading room coordinators at the click of a button. Cases are distributed equitably with the help of smart worklists that are tailored to individual seats.
General ED radiology study mix, trends approximately 45% XR, 45% CT, 10% MR/US. Average caseload ~9-10 wRVU/hr. Comfort with general ED MRI (stroke, spine, MRCP, appendicitis, osteo) is preferred but not required. Hybrid compensation model - base salary ranges between $400,000 - $550,000 and is commensurate with qualifications and experience. RVU based supplementary bonus system for ED radiologists exceeding established goals. Abundant internal moonlighting at rates up to $600/hr. External moonlighting is permitted outside of the NYC area with approval.

Our ED group has regularly scheduled peer learning meetings and sectional meetings to review interesting cases and discuss workflow improvement. This is an excellent opportunity to practice ED radiology at the highest level. No research or other academic obligations required.
