As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Lead Sales & Service HVAC Technician to help expand our service department, strengthen customer relationships, and contribute to the development of our growing team.

Position Summary:
Velocity Air A/C & Heating is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Sales & Service HVAC Technician to join our Houston-area team. This role is ideal for an HVAC professional who not only excels in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing HVAC systems, but also has a passion for customer relationships, business development, and leadership.
The successful candidate will serve as a key member of our growing organization by delivering exceptional service, identifying sales opportunities, mentoring team members, and helping drive company growth throughout the Houston market.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and service calls on residential and commercial HVAC systems
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues accurately and efficiently.
Install, repair, and maintain heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Maintain detailed service records and communicate findings to customers.
Customer Relations & Sales Growth
Build strong relationships with customers and act as a trusted HVAC advisor.
Identify opportunities for system upgrades, replacement equipment, maintenance agreements, and additional services.
Educate customers on energy-efficient solutions and HVAC system improvements.
Generate leads and contribute to company revenue growth through exceptional customer service and consultative selling.
Represent the company professionally and help strengthen the Velocity Air brand throughout the Houston community.
Leadership & Team Development
Support the growth and development of the service department.
Mentor and assist less experienced technicians in the field.
Help establish best practices and maintain high service standards.
Collaborate with leadership on strategies to expand the business and improve operational efficiency.
Contribute to recruiting, training, and building a high-performing service team as the company grows.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of HVAC service experience.
Strong residential and commercial HVAC troubleshooting skills.
EPA Universal Certification required.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to work independently while leading by example.
Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Sales-focused mindset with the ability to identify customer needs and recommend solutions.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Must possess personal HVAC tools.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Ability to pass all pre-employment screening requirements.
Compensation & Benefits:
Velocity Air A/C & Heating offers a competitive compensation package designed to reward performance and support your long-term success, including:
Annual base salary up to $70,000
