The Opportunity
At Elise Buie Family Law Group, we believe family law can be practiced with both excellence and compassion. We are looking for aparalegal with 5+ years of Washington family law experiencewho wants to do excellent legal work, contribute to a forward-thinking firm, and grow as part of a team shaping the future of family law.
In this role, you’ll work closely with attorneys and team members to help cases move forward with clarity, organization, and care. You’ll be trusted to manage cases and support clients while contributing ideas, improving processes, and helping shape an exceptional client experience.

What You’ll Do
- Manage client communication, scheduling, and day-to-day case coordination
- Prepare, organize, and maintain litigation documents and case files
- Assist with drafting pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and simple motions in collaboration with attorneys
- Conduct legal and factual research to support case preparation and strategy
- Support mediation and trial preparation, including exhibits, binders, and document organization
- Track deadlines, action items, and next steps to help matters move forward efficiently
- Deliver polished, accurate, and court-ready work product
- Help create a client experience rooted in compassion, responsiveness, and professionalism

Requirements
Must-Have Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience and strong knowledge of Washington State court rules and motion practice (King, Snohomish, and Pierce counties)
- Strong tech fluency (or learns fast): Clio, Dropbox, Adobe, MS Office 365, Slack, Zoom
- Stellar writing skills
- Comfortable with coaching and practicing radical candor
- Stable internet and access to a phone
- Ability to relate to people across diverse backgrounds with respect and ease
- Commitment to meet mutually agreed upon billable hour requirements
