- Director of Strategic Growth & Engagement
Description
We are seeking an accomplished professional to help shape the future of the Home Care Association of Florida (HCAF). HCAF has been Florida’s voice for the home care provider community for over 35 years. HCAF exists to provide representation, communication, and advocacy for home care providers, and to give them the education and resources they need to deliver high-quality, cost-effective services to patients/clients at home.
Position Overview
This dynamic role goes beyond membership growth — it's about building the partnerships, visibility, and opportunities that ensure HCAF's long-term strength in Florida's home care industry. The ideal candidate is based in central or southern Florida, allowing for easy travel throughout the state to engage with current and prospective members, develop partnerships, represent HCAF, and identify new opportunities for the association.
Above all, we are looking for someone who believes what we believe: home care is an essential part of Florida’s health care system; relationships matter, and HCAF is stronger when the home care community comes together.
Responsibilities
Strategic Growth: Identify and pursue new opportunities that strengthen HCAF's position, relevance, and reach across Florida's home care industry, beyond membership recruitment alone.
Partnership Development: Identify, negotiate, and manage affinity partnerships and sponsorship relationships with vendors and industry businesses that create added value and cost savings for HCAF members.
Planning & Organization: Apply strong planning and organizational skills to develop initiatives that support HCAF's long-term sustainability and growth, including maintaining clear documentation of efforts, progress, and outcomes to support tracking, accountability, and continuity over time.
Member Engagement: Cultivate relationships with current and prospective members across Florida's Medicare/Medicaid-certified, private duty, skilled, and non-skilled home care agencies, ensuring consistent follow-up to maintain engagement, address needs in a timely manner, and strengthen long-term member retention.
Marketing & Positioning: Bring a sales and marketing lens to how HCAF communicates its value, shaping messaging and outreach that resonates with the industry.
Innovation: Bring fresh thinking to how HCAF engages its industry, challenging existing approaches where useful and proposing new ones.
Regulatory Awareness: Stay attuned to industry trends and regulatory or legislative developments that shape opportunities for HCAF and its members.
Association Representation: Serve as a visible, trusted face of HCAF at industry events, meetings, and in the field, representing the association's mission and priorities.
Autonomous Drive: Demonstrate self-motivation, proactive initiative, and the capacity to work independently and remotely, showcasing proficiency with technology.
Qualifications
Experience: A strong sales and marketing background, ideally within the home care industry or a related field.
Industry Knowledge: Strong connections within, and understanding of, Florida's Medicare/Medicaid-certified, private duty, skilled, and non-skilled home care agencies.
Strategic Mindset: Proven planning and organizational skills, with the ability to think long-term and translate ideas into action.
Communications Mastery: Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication, with the ability to represent an organization credibly and build relationships.
Presentation Skills: Comfortable and polished delivering both virtual and in-person presentations, with the technical setup (reliable internet) to represent HCAF professionally.
Travel: A commitment to regular in-state travel to engage members, build partnerships, and represent HCAF across Florida.
Region: Candidate must be based in central or southern Florida to support statewide travel.
License: Florida Driver's License (required).
Passion: A deep-seated commitment to the betterment and longevity of Florida's home care community.
