Company Overview
From its creation in 1935, The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission is the state regulatory agency that regulates all phases of the alcoholic beverage industry in Texas. The duties of the Commission include regulating sales, taxation, importation, manufacturing, transporting, and advertising of alcoholic beverages.
TABC enforcement Agents provide regular instruction to law enforcement officers, industry members, school children and civic organizations to provide a better understanding of the law to promote voluntary compliance. The Chief of Enforcement oversees the activities of 3 regional Majors and 2 Captains in TABC districts who in turn direct the efforts of more than 200 agents across the state.
Notable Accomplishments / Recognition
TABC successfully investigate alleged violations of the Alcoholic Beverage Code and other state laws such as bootlegging, application fraud, ownership subterfuge, sates to minors, prostitution, gambling, narcotics trafficking, illegal weapons and organized criminal activities.
