Company Profile
Farmevo
Company Overview
Farmevo is an AI and robotics company building a hardware-agnostic autonomous sensing platform that replaces manual field inspection across forestry, agriculture, and other regulated environments.
Our forestry product, SylvaSense, turns routine silviculture and stand-assessment work — regeneration surveys, stocking and stem counts, species identification, crown closure, and carbon assessment — into fast, audit-ready, regulator-compatible documentation.
A single field operator using a standard drone can complete AI-augmented plot surveys at roughly 60–80 plots per day, compared with 8–12 plots per day by traditional ground crews, and receive survey-to-report turnaround within 24 hours.
Outputs are customisable and delivered as regulator-compatible silviculture reports with a full digital audit trail on every result.
The platform is hardware-agnostic and software-led: it works with everything from a sub-250g consumer drone (no pilot licence required) to an enterprise-grade DJI Matrice 4E, so customers avoid proprietary-hardware lock-in and high capital costs. The same architecture powers LenseAI, our agriculture product line, giving Farmevo a single platform spanning both forestry and agriculture.
Farmevo works with institutional operators — forestry companies, forest land owners, licensees, TIMOs, SFIs, silviculture and consulting firms, government ministries, processors, cooperatives, and seed producers. Today the company serves enterprise accounts across Canada and the United States, including operators such as Tolko Industries and Zanzibar Holdings in British Columbia, and collaborates on research and talent with the University of British Columbia and the University of Idaho.
Company History
Farmevo was founded in 2023 and incorporated as a Delaware C-Corp. The company began by building and validating its core autonomous-sensing platform, then secured early enterprise customers in North American agriculture in 2024.
In 2025, Farmevo expanded operations into Canada and the United States and entered the forestry market — launching SylvaSense commercially and onboarding its first forestry anchor customers in British Columbia, including Tolko Industries and Zanzibar Holdings, the latter a silviculture surveying partner that collaborates on forestry product development.
By early 2026, Farmevo was operating across 15+ active enterprise accounts in three countries, backed by a New York–based institutional seed investor, and scaling its forestry team across Canada and the United States. The company is now expanding its North American forestry footprint into Quebec, Ontario, and key U.S. regions.
