Description
We have an opening for a VIRTUAL estate planning and probate attorney that is LICENSED IN WASHINGTON STATE.
CMS Law Firm LLC is a Kirkland, WA based law firm that practices estate planning and probate exclusively. We've built a systems-driven, mostly virtual practice serving clients all over Washington, and we're looking for a high-performing attorney to join our team.
Utilizing technology (yes, even some AI) and recent changes to the law, we are able to service estate planning and probate clients virtually throughout the entire process. That let's us hire the best people, not just the closest.
WHAT THIS ROLE IS:
- You run estate planning and probate consultations.
- You convert qualified prospects into clients (no need to bring in your own leads).
- You own your matters from start to finish, with paralegal and operations support.
We track consult show rates and close rates; our current attorneys consistently close 50%+ of qualified consults using our process and scripts. If you enjoy helping people make decisions and you clear, objective metrics, you'll fit here.

- Confirmation that you are actively licensed in Washington State.
- A brief summary of your estate planning / probate experience.
- Your preferred compensation range and whether you prefer fully remote, hybrid, or occasional in-office days in Kirkland.

Requirements
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
License: MUST HAVE active Washington State Bar license, in good standing.
Experience:
- 2+ years of estate planning/probate experience OR
- 4+ years of legal practice with strong client-facing experience (we can teach you estate planning and probate if you bring the fundamentals).
Someone who:
- Likes talking to potential clients and is comfortable talking about fees and next steps.
- Is detail oriented and process-driven (we have a strong practice management system we actually use).
- Is a strong team player AND can also work autonomously without micromanagement.
- Has excellent people skills and can explain complex ideas simply.
- Wants to get better and is open to coaching, feedback, and clear scorecards.
