Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate starting at $22-26/ hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Your Experience & Skills

• One or more years of internal medicine or other veterinary specialty experience required
• Credentialed Technician preferred
• Has strong interpersonal communication skills
• Is adaptable and works well on a team
• Is dependable and detail-oriented

We proudly serve the Austin area with high-quality care in emergency and critical care, neurology, surgery, internal medicine, and oncology. Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to:

• Ability to perform routine veterinary medical procedures (i.e., place IV catheters, phlebotomy, collect samples, knowledge and use of routine veterinary equipment and administer injections) as well as properly restrain patients
• Collect, label, and handle diagnostic samples accurately
• Provide technical and nursing support to Internal Medicine patients, including attentive monitoring, comfort care, and timely reporting of patient status changes to the medical team.
• Remain calm and effective in stressful situations, using good judgment and seeking support/escalation when needed.
• Prioritize competing tasks, multitask appropriately, and manage time efficiently to support patient flow and doctor schedules.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers and clients to support coordinated care and an excellent client experience.
• Demonstrate empathy and compassion while maintaining a commitment to outstanding client service and respectful patient handling.
• Support the service and hospital as needed, including helping with patient flow, restocking/cleaning, and cross-team assistance when appropriate.
