Description

Upper-High-School Math & Science Teacher:

This position is for an experienced upper-secondary mathematics and physical science teacher. The teacher would prepare and deliver five to six high-school core classes. The teacher would be expected to modify or develop curriculum to meet the needs of student cohorts, modify or develop assessments relevant to content and skill goals, and plan and execute projects. Subject areas include introductory chemistry and physics, Advanced Placement chemistry and physics, Advanced Placement calculus AB/BC, and other advanced mathematics topics such as vector algebra and vector calculus.

    Secondary classroom pedagogy and behavior management
    Curriculum modification and adaptation
    Team planning with math/science colleagues

Preferred skills:
    Preparation of passion content presentations (current events, civics)
    Proctoring & administration of standardized testing (PSAT, SAT, AP)
    Leadership/planning for paraschool organizations & assessments (NHS, F=ma, AMC)

Requirements

Degreed and proof of expert content knowledge.
