Description
The Senior Title Examiner / Analyst is responsible for conducting complex title searches, analyzing full chains of title, and identifying legal risks, encumbrances, and defects. This role requires a high level of expertise in reviewing deeds, mortgages, liens, easements, and probate records, as well as preparing accurate and compliant title reports.
Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct complex and detailed title examinations, including full chain-of-title analysis
- Review and interpret deeds, mortgages, liens, easements, probate, and court records
- Identify and resolve title defects, discrepancies, and potential risks
- Prepare accurate, compliant, and client-ready title reports
- Apply jurisdiction-specific title standards (e.g., Massachusetts title practices)
- Communicate findings clearly to attorneys, clients, and internal teams
- Manage multiple orders while meeting turnaround expectations
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in title examination or title analysis
- Strong expertise in chain-of-title review and document interpretation
- Experience with Massachusetts title standards preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience working with title software, registries, and online systems
