With a focus on sustainable irrigation design, some of our specialties include irrigation infrastructure assessments, life-cycle modeling, feasibility analysis and stormwater capture & reuse. At ion you will have the opportunity to become involved on a wide array of irrigation projects, including some of the largest and most challenging in Western Canada.
Ion is looking for a capable, motivated and highly productive individual to join our growing consulting team. Exceptional client service and efficiencies in meeting project deliverables are key to our business success.
You will work with an integrated team to support the design process from concept through construction, preparing irrigation plans, specifications, cost estimates, and as-built drawings for municipal, commercial and institutional irrigation projects. You’ll collaborate with Landscape Architects, Engineers, and Project Managers to deliver efficient, well-coordinated and code-compliant irrigation systems that align with client objectives and environmental stewardship. This position offers strong potential for professional development and career growth with training, education and experience.
Requirements
A related post-secondary diploma/degree along with demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD is required. Knowledge or experience in site services, municipal standards, GPS surveying, Civil 3D, storm water capture and reuse, and irrigation products and practices are definite assets. Irrigation Association certifications such as Certified Irrigation Designer (CID), Certified Irrigation Technician (CIT), or Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor (CLIA) are also strong assets.
Candidates shall possess the initiative, self-motivation and time management skills necessary to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced consulting practice. Excellent communication skills, problem solving abilities, attention to detail and the capacity to work positively with others in a collaborative team environment is essential.
