We are in search of a dynamic and results-driven Group and Events Sales Manager to join our team!
The Group & Event Sales Manager is primarily responsible for selling and servicing events. The selected candidate will be responsible for selling guest rooms, meeting space and Banquet Food and Beverage to groups and guests. This position is also responsible for booking short-term meetings/events in a fast-paced environment, while being able to manage a high volume of customers and leads at any given time.
Responsibilities also include:
- Menu planning, agenda setting, hospitality amenities, room block management and special VIP requests.
- Contract negotiation and review, facilitating communication before, during and post event with clients (bill review/management) and pertinent hotel staff to ensure a high level of service.
- Hosting Driskill Hotel tours
- Maintaining strong customer relationships,
- Participating and potentially leading event meetings and other staff meetings,
- Working cohesively as a team with the sales and events staff
- The G&E Sales Manager also works closely with an assigned Administrative Assistant and other support staff.

Qualifications
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
- Proven experience in group and event sales within the hospitality industry
- Selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training is preferred
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience prospecting and networking to gain new business is preferred
- Candidates should be extremely detail oriented and organized
- Refined verbal and written communication skills
- Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
- Ability to be on property on a daily basis
- Prefer two years hotel sales experience or completed Management Trainee program
