Greetings from Cycling Nova Scotia! Cycling Nova Scotia (CNS) is the Provincial Sport and Recreational Organization for cycling in Nova Scotia. We have a small staff count of about 3 full and part time employees, and a small number of contract workers. As we head into 2026, we know staff retention, and where needed, talent acquisition will become a challenge. As a result, we are looking for a Human Resources Professional to join our volunteer Board of Directors in 2026 as a Director at Large to help us navigate HR relations as we continue to grow.
With our next AGM scheduled for Tuesday, February 24, 2026, we are asking any HR Professionals with interest and experience working in or with a not-for-profit to reach out to stevebedard14@gmail.com with additional questions. Requirements
We are looking for individuals with:
- A history of working with Not-For-Profit organizations
- A history of working with government funding (Provincial and Federal)
- Experience working in organizations with a small staff count and moderate staff turnover rates
- About 1-5 hours per week to contribute to Committee and/or Board of Director work
- Availability to join Board of Director or Committee meetings via MS Teams, Zoom or other video conferencing applications
