Company History
MMR Research Associates was founded in Atlanta in 1999 to fill a gap in the marketing research industry. We saw an over-reliance on methods and tools, and an under-focus on business purpose and decision impact.
From the start the emphasis was clear: understand context first. Then design research that answers real business questions. Early clients trusted us with complex challenges. Our reputation for customised solutions grew steadily.
Over two decades we expanded our capability across qualitative and quantitative research, analytics and strategic advisory. Our client base broadened across sectors including retail, financial services, consumer goods, healthcare and more. Global work became part of the practice, reflecting clients’ reach and research needs.
A defining moment came in 2019. We transitioned to 100 percent employee ownership under an Employee Stock Ownership Plan. That move aligned incentives with long-term value. It rewarded commitment and reinforced a culture where every team member has a stake in outcomes.
