Company History

Maxwell Accounting & Consulting was founded in 2021 by Rachel Horvath Long, CPA, who saw a gap in the market after years of preparing tax returns for clients who received financials they didn't understand and couldn't use. She started the firm to fill that gap with clear, usable financial reporting. Katie Van Hove, CPA, joined soon after, followed by Katelyn Keith, CPA, and the firm has since grown into a busy, fully remote practice. Today, Maxwell Accounting & Consulting is selective about the clients it takes on, and it prioritizes its people just as much as its clients: 100% of employees have flexible schedules, and the firm celebrates parenthood and life outside of work as part of its culture.
